Infrastructure that can be specified for import backup
Hello all,
I open the case #03915333.
I have a question for 'Import Backup'.
I want to perform 'Import Backup' from Data Domain.
But from 'Comuputer', I can see only Windows and Linux server.
I want to keep a specific restore point, so I want to copy the backup file to another folder and restore the data with an import backup.
#Question#
'Import Backup' can from only Windows and Linux server?
Data Domain cannot select at 'Import Backup'?
Thank you for advance.

Hello ta_yoshizumi,
You can only import Veeam backups from servers that are added to the backup infrastructure tab on the current backup server.
Thanks

Re: Infrastructure that can be specified for import backup
Hello wishr,
I added NAS(CIFS) as a repository to the backup infrastructure tab on the current backup server.
But I cannot select this repository from Import Backup.
So I think can select only Windows and Linux machine added to the backup infrastructure tab on the current backup server.
Thank you.

Am I right assuming that the backup file you need to import has been created by Veeam Backup & Replication?

Re: Infrastructure that can be specified for import backup
Since you've decided to add the server as a repository your backup should be already imported - just make sure you have performed the rescan procedure and check the "Backups" node -> Disk (imported). Manual backup import is only required for servers that are not added as a backup repository.
