Installing VEEAM Backup on VM vs Physical host

Can the VEEAM Backup & Replication be installed on a VM vs a physical server? If so is there instructions available?

Veeam B&R management server can be installed on any Windows-based machine, regardless it’s physical or virtual. What is more important in this sense, is where you place backup proxy server components.
