Instant recovery cache files

Post by alphatech » Jul 17, 2018 6:23 pm

Has anyone seen a way to take the cache files from instant recovery and view the data that's contained within?

I had an instant recovery work, production data saved on a server and then the instant recovery went unresponsive. I'm trying to not lose data from before instant recovery went unresponsive.

I am not sure what you're trying to achieve when you say "view the data". What cache contains is changed VMDK block of the instantly recovered VMs, so there's nothing meaningful to see. That said, you should not lose the data in cache until you perform "Unpublish".
