Hi All,
I am trying to migrate a Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V VM (Hyper-V is also 2012 R2) to an ESX 7 cluster. The instant recovery performs the V2V but when the VM boots it goes straight to the blue screen "Boot Manager" and selecting the Hard disk does nothing. Has anyone seen this before? I have done this many times the other way (ESX to Hyper-V) without issues.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: Instant Recovery Failing
I’d be tempted to create a vmx, and then restore the vmdks. If the VM boots it’s an issue with IR of the vmx, if it doesn’t boot there’s something amiss with the vmdks.

How the backup and restore was done? Have you already opened a support ticket? Thanks!
