Instant Recovery with VMWare native encryption
Is Instant VM Recovery supported when a VM is encrypted using the native vmware provider? In my initial testing, the full vm restore was flawless, while instant recovery just sat in the "migrate to production" mode without actually migrating to production.

Normally I'd expect it to work, as at this point (where "it just sits") we're talking regular Storage vMotion operation of VM disks from vPower NFS datastore to your production datastore.

Re: Instant Recovery with VMWare native encryption
VMwares VM encryption works under the storage API access, this means that backup vendors like Veeam are getting unencrypted data.
As Anton shared you need to look into why it takes long to transport the VM with VMotion or you could give the Veeam option (force Quick Migration) a try. Both will lead to the situation that the data needs to be encrypted on the fly while the VM runs. This process will take at least the time that the restore took.

Did you check the backend and it really doesn't copy anything or is it just really slow in the coping the data?
