Hi Guys,
We are trying to perform an IVM of a VM which is over 40TB in size. I'm not sure what the exact process is for a IVM session but I assumed regardless of the size it would happen quickly.
I have a session which is currently running for HOURS and still hasn't started..?
Why would it take so long and what could be causing the process to be stuck on publishing files?
I've tried different VBRs, using a redirection datastore and not. Checked the IVM mount server and tweaked. Nothing is helping this presentation to actually work.

Re: Instant VM Recovery of Large VM taking hours
Hi, Matt. You're right, assuming your backup is on the fast on-premises storage, it should take under a minute regardless of the VM size (because it really does not matter). So, you should troubleshoot this with support, they will be able to see from the debug logs where it got stuck and why. Thanks

Re: Instant VM Recovery of Large VM taking hours
It’s not extremely fast but should at least present and then performance issues can be argued once powered on…
Got a case with support already, logs pending.
Was just curious if there were known limitations…
