Hello,
can someone please confirm - if we set DRS mode to manual, then place ONE host into maintenance mode, then run the IO filter wizard - this will only upgrade the one host that's in maintenance mode correct? I want to control the hosts that get updated..
We just upgraded from esxi 7.0 to 8.0u3 and need to update cdp drivers. I usually do it through CLI but this maybe faster. If thats the case - i would do an un-install the older 7.x cdp driver first, then and install of the 8.0 version.
thanks

Re: IO Filter Question
Hey there,
If you want to make sure hosts are remediated one at a time, just check your cluster’s remediation settings in vSphere. Starting in vSphere 8, they added support for parallel remediation, which means multiple hosts can be done at once. You can switch this to manual and set the number of concurrent hosts.. just set it to 1 if you want them to go one at a time, sequentially.
