Hi.
I have a question regarding backup configuration. I have a Windows machine where a user has a mapped network drive. Does Veeam back up such a drive? Do I need to specify only the system disk in the exclusions?

Re: Job - mapped network drive
Hi Greg,
Not at this time I'm afraid with image level VM backups.

See the final bullet point on the Virtual Hardware section from this User Guide page:
If you don't want to back it up, good news, nothing to do
If you do want to back it up, is it feasible to backup the source of the mapped network drive perhaps instead?

See the final bullet point on the Virtual Hardware section from this User Guide page:
Is your goal to ensure this mapped drive does _not_ get backed up or you need to protect the data on that share?RDM virtual disks in physical mode, independent disks, and disks connected through in-guest iSCSI initiator are not supported for host-based backup, and are skipped from processing automatically. If backup of these disks is required, use agent-based backup.
Network shares and mount points targeted to 3rd party storage devices are also skipped as these volumes/disks are not visible in the VM configuration file.
