Hello, We had to backup a large Vsphere environment (about 62 Tb). this backups will be split on 2 Backup Proxies, each one will be Backup repository too, with SAN direct access. I have one question about the backup repositories configuration. What are the best practices for sizing disk on Repositories ? We already calculate the space required, but my question is about the LUNs we will configure on Servers backup repositories. Should I create a single huge LUN on each or should I create many more smaller LUN ?

Uhm, reading at OP, there are going to be 2 different repositories, once per proxy; the only way to share a single repository between proxies is to have a dedicated repository role or use SMB and let proxies act as automatic gateways. Colin, I just hope when you say you will create the repository storage from SAN, it's not the same SAN used for production VMs on the hypervisor.
