New to Veeam, running ver 9.5 U2. I need to move about 2TB of files from one drive to another on a Vmware VM. I thought about doing a file restore via Veeam, but am concerned about transfer rates for such a large amount of data. Are there any tricks to making this run faster?
Thx

Re: Large folder restore to different location
You should add the servers (source and destination) that you want to copy the files to/from to Veeam as a managed server, then create a file copy job or do this manually through the Files tab in VBR.
Here's the User Guide link on how to.

Re: Large folder restore to different location
Thx. I am trying to add the VM as a managed server, but I am getting the "unable to connect to the remote server" error. I added the veeam service account (a domain account) to the local admin group on the VM (windows 2012r2) & the credentials are correct. The VM is on the same network as the Veeam server. The firewall is disabled on both the Veeam Backup server & the VM I am trying to add. Any suggestions?

Re: Large folder restore to different location
I would just double check and make sure your environment meets these requirements.
