Latest recommended VMware Tools version

Post by FXE »

Hi all,

This morning, all of my VMs' VMware Tools are reported as not up to date by Veeam ONE Monitor. In fact, current version is 10.1.10.6082533.
I believe remember me that in a very previous Gostev's weekly digest, there was something about a VMware Tools version we have to avoid but I don't find this digest.
So could you confirm me which "latest" VMware Tools version is safe to install on my VMs ?

Thank you.

Hi FXE,

The broken VMware Tools version was 10.3.0, while the latest stable version at the date of the digest arrival (Sep 3 - Sep 9, 2018) was 10.2.5. Currently, the latest stable version is 10.3.2, as reported by VMware.

Hope this would help! Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no information on any issues in the 10.3.2 package except those mentioned in the official Release notes by VMware.

Thanks.
