6.0u2 for some. 6.5 for at least 40 other clients.

We're currently running ESXi 6.5 for production, and have one FREE edition of ESXi 5.5 that will likely be decommissioned by early next year at the latest.

I didn't even know vSphere 5.1 had ended VMware support - completely missed any notifications about that!

Need to look and see if our hosts support 6.* or not! :(

Presumably all the early 6.0/6.5 bugs that Gostev warned us about in his weekly emails have been ironed out?

Still have a few 5.1 hosts here, but if you dropped support it would be good as we'd be forced to buy some new kit.

Still on 5.1, but migrating to 6.5

Voted 5.5 anyway - because the current versions of Veeam still support 5.1, and the IT world has to move forward.
Sometimes we only get permission to upgrade products as a result of EOL dates. They can be a help as much as a hindrance.

As long as you don't drop support for 5.5/6.0 sounds good to me.

6.5 is no go territory due to dropping all support for the Fat Client.

Thank you all for your active participation!

Based on the results of this poll, we decided to keep supporting ESXi 5.0 and 5.1 with the next update - to give those 6% (or approximately 15000) of Veeam users more time to migrate off them. There will be a small caveat though – due to security certification requirements, we are forced to switch to using the latest build of VDDK 5.5 with those ESXi versions, which in turn means that we will no longer be able to support 32-bit backup proxies (since VDDK 5.5 and later versions come as 64-bit only).

Gostev,

Just to confirm, you're essentially saying VBR 9.5U4 will drop support for vSphere 4.1 & vCenter 4.1. Correct?
