Licence auto update

In Veeam 8 Patch 1 I was advised to enable the license auto update feature to have the support period auto renew. However I can see that although the license has renewed the support has expired once again.

I read the following KB and it mentions something about the supportid not being renewed when it is bundled into the license. What exactly does that mean and should I expect the support license to automatically renew from the auto update feature?

Hi James,

License auto-update feature updates both support and license expiration dates if you enable this feature. According to our notes, your contract has expired last month. Can you please contact your sales rep with the support contract ID to verify the situation?
