Licensing Question

Post by leduke »

Hello.

I have a question for Veeam licensing. When there are 4 Cpu licnses with 3 hosts (eache host got 2 CPU), how does veeam choose the un licensed host ?

Can I run a job on two hosts, and after run a job on the third host ?

Thank you.

The host gets licensed, once you run a backup/replication job against it.

Assuming that the license covers only two hosts, it won’t be possible to run a job against a third one, unless you revoke the license prior to backing it up.

Thanks.

Thank you for your answer.

Is the Veeam backup remerberd the host on the first job or is the veeam back install a plug-in on it ?

How is it possible to revoque licence on a host ?

Thank you.

The licensed hosts are reflected in Veeam Backup and Replication database. In order to revoke license you should go to Help -> License -> Licensed hosts and select a host from which you want to revoke license. Thanks.
