Licensing woes

Post by Matt@Work »

Hi

A bit stuck. I have a renewal for a 2 socket licence pending which is part of our merged licence. I was trying to log a licence ticket in order to get the licence moved to a different admin account for management as it was incorrectly assigned to a person who isn't IT based. I can't do this because our merged 64 socket licence had a 2 socket licence with an expiry earlier than the others so its now showing that the support ID has expired, even though the remaining 62 sockets don't expire until March 2023. Subsequently, I can't raise a ticket to get this licence moved so I can renew it and then request a new merge.

How can I log a ticket as the system won't allow for a ticket where it thinks the support ID has lapsed?

Hello Matt,
I would recommend kindly ping your Veeam Systems Engineer or your Veeam Sales. The ones you have interacted with before can help you much quicker than us on the forums.

You should see your licenses on my.veeam.com, maybe there is still the 62 before the merge of those 2. Can you not use any of the options on that portal, like talking to a manager, or phone support?

Definitely please try your Sales team over there.

Thanks!

I'll reach out to our vendor as I have no idea who our Veeam account manager is. The issue is that the remaining 62 are for various business in country entities, so I can't merge them as I can only select those in the same company name.

Thanks for your reply.
