Linux FLR fails to restore file with create error

Post by davegold »

Hi,

New site with 9.5 Update 1. We are setting up FLR for Linux, and when we tried to do a restore with the keep option, it is failuing to restore.

Logs show:
(Gust) Permission denied
POSIX: Failed to create or open file [/etc/hosts.RESTORED-20170209103844]

We are using a specified user with limited sudoers rights (from vmware-vsphere-f24/failed-to-run-comman ... 26973.html):
...snip...
workaround is to add the following to /etc/sudoers.d/01_veeamflr with contents of:
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /bin/uname
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/scp
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /bin/arch
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /bin/mount
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/sh
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /bin/rm
USERNAMEOFSSHUSER ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /tmp/*

and allowing it to elevate to root.

Anyone else run into this?

It looks like the list specified in the referenced topic is no longer valid, our support team should clarify on what's missing. Thanks!
