Linux Guest file system indexing
Hello,
I've just upgraded to 8.0.0.917 (patch #1) from 7.0. I'm a happy user for the moment, except for two issues.
Indexing is fully enabled on every Linux VM, which are RHEL 6.6 (mlocate, gzip and tar are present). It seems that in Enterprise Manager, I can only search for files in root folder, nothing is seen inside mount points. We use LVM and EXT3.
Searching for "*" in a specified Linux VM only produce 500+ files found, which are all in "/" and subfolders. Same goes with the browse tool, mount points are not seen. Everything is fine using FLR inside VBR console.
Is this normal, or am I doing wrong ?
I also have this Microsoft Exchange issue, so I'm looking forward to see update #2.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Does not look normal, have you contacted technical support with this? What is your support case ID?

Hello,
Veeam support has confirmed that it is a bug. Indexing is not working on mount points apart from root (/).
I'll wait for the patch.

Correct. However this will not be addressed in the upcoming update. Most likely private hotfix will be available though.

Re: Linux Guest file system indexing
Well, I hope I will be able to obtain it, as indexing is very important for us (main reason for upgrading to v8).

I bet you will be notified by your engineer about fix availability.
