I'm creating a backup job using the file encryption feature. Since my VBR is not managed by an VEM I see the loss protection disabled warning.
In future I'll add the VBR to the VEM, what will happen to the encryption key?
Will it be encrypted by the VEM public key automatically or I have to perform some work?

Re: loss protection disabled
Password loss protection will be automatically enabled after adding Veeam B&R instance to Enterprise Manager. However, only newly created backups will be encrypted with the EM public key, for existing backups you would still need to provide password.
