Hi,
Existing environment:
Windows Server 2008 R2 with Veeam Backup & Replication V6
New:
Windows Server 2012 R2 with Veeam Backup & Replication V7
Databases are on a SQL Cluster
Can this be migrated or should I reinstall better?
My idea:
- Install Server 2012 R2
- Veeam B & R install all patches (existing SQL DB)
- Backup configuration Veeam B & R 6.5
- Restore configuration on the new Server
Can the backup data is copied to the new server?

Re: Migrate or new installation (Veeam configuration)
Since you're using remote SQL server to store Veeam B&R configuration, there's no need to back it up and restore, just point the setup wizard to the existing database during installation of the new Veeam B&R and when it warns you that the database is in use by another installation, choose to take over the database.RomanAxBe wrote:My idea:

What do you mean by backup data, backup files stored in the backup repository?RomanAxBe wrote:Can the backup data is copied to the new server?
