Migrate VMware VM from on-prem to Azure through Express route.

Hi All,

When I try to install Azure proxy using on-prem Veeam client I get this error.

Deploying Azure proxy VM Error: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.
The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

Please support me on this.

Since you're using ExpressRoute, try to add AzurePreferPrivateIpAddressesForProxyandLinuxAppliance (DWORD, 1) registry value under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication key on the backup server. With this key proxy and helper appliances will prefer private IP addresses only.

If this does not help, reach our support team for further investigation.

I have added that reg key now (and rebooted Veeam server) and will see what happens when the next SOBR job runs in a few hours and feedback.
