I have a scale out backup repository consisting of extents A and B with per VM backup files enabled.
I have 2 repositories called C and D
Previously if i wanted to move backup files from C to D i would robocopy then scan the destination and repoint the backup job to the new repository.
I can see on A and B that each has 2 folders containing several vms from the same backup
How would I move this single backup from the scale out repository to standalone repository?

Re: Migrating Backups out of a scale out repository
Hello onthax,
Do you also want point the job to standalone repository or just move backup files?
Is your goal to keep per-vm chaining?
Thanks!

Re: Migrating Backups out of a scale out repository
Hi Shestakov,
We also want to point the job to the new location.
ideally have a process to keep per vm, or to disable this setting depending on the target repository.

Re: Migrating Backups out of a scale out repository
You need to "merge" the folders belonging to the job from both extents on the target simple repository and rescan it. After that, mapping to this backup will be possible.
