I've just realised that an offsite backup I've reseeded (due vcenter migration needing a new backup chain starting & poor connectivity at remote site) was backup-copied to a standard rather than per-vm temporary repo.
My intention was to add the (local) temp repo to our SoBR, then evacuate & decom the temp repo, but would this cause a full copy to be initiated again?
Anything else I can do to move this backup into a per-vm SoBR without causing an active full copy again?

Re: Migrating from standard to per-vm repo
Without a full backup (either active or compact one) the per-VM backup chain setting won't be applied. Thanks.

Re: Migrating from standard to per-vm repo
Ah, ok, so it'll continue working as-is until we work in an active-full backup copy. I can live with that until we next visit as it's only a couple of tiny VMs anyway (but an even tinier internet connection in the middle of no-where!).
