Migration VMWARE 3 to 5 with different storage

Hi everyone,

we have an ESXi Host (Version3.x) with 20 VMs. We want to migrate all VMs to a new ESXi Host (Version 5) and a new Storage System (SAN).

Is this possible with the Migration Feature of Backup and Replication 6, although there are different ESXi Versions ?

Ulf, what ESXi version are you using exactly? Veeam B&R v6 does not support versions prior to 3.5 (vStorage API limitation). If you are on 3.5 or later, then you can use v6 to either replicate or migrate your VMs to the new host. Otherwise, you can use the previous Veeam B&R v5 version that provided support for ESX(i) 3.0 (please contact support to get it). Thanks!
