mount proxy vpower nfs on esxi

Post by arsprod »

I'm trying to add a vmware datastore that sits on a windows 2008r2 machines that's also a veeam backup repository - so it's running vpower. I see directions for mounting veeam nfs shares but can't figure out how to do this for a proxy machine running vpower.

Hi Aaron,

So yo have both proxy and repository on the same machine, right? Have you followed these instructions > How to use Veeam vPower NFS server?

Thanks!

Right, proxy and repository on same machine. I did follow that, well sort of. Instead of using veeamserver I used the fqdn of the actual proxy/repository machine. Does it have to connect through the actual veeam server?

Did you have any error message when following this procedure and specifying repository hostname?

It should be the NetBIOS name of your repository server.

I'm missing something simple here - I have nfs shares and none were this hard to connect in esxi! Here's the repository set up in veeam:

Here's vsphere:

What am I missing?

Please try the following:
Folder: /VeeamBackup_genizah
Datastore: VeeamBackup_genizah

Then I suggest contacting support so that they could assist you in mounting the datastore via webex session. That would be much more effective.
