Move Veeam Instance to New SQL Version

Our Veeam backup server has SQL 2008 and SQL 2012 Express. We want to install SQL 2014 Standard and move the existing Veeam SQL instance to that new version. How do we do that? We installed Veeam One, but do not use it. Also, we can certainly get rid of the older SQL versions as well but don't want to cause problems doing so.
