Moving VMs among datastores

Post by marius roma »

I need to move dozens of VMs among datastores of the same vSphere infrastructure.
I'd like to schedule the activity as I schedule backup and replicas.
Can Veeam B&R provide a solution for my needs?
I looked at the available menus but I was unable to find what I need.
Is there a way to do what I need?
Regards

Yes, you can use replication jobs (specify the datastore you need in the job options) and then commit failover option to do that via controlled schedule.

Great!
What do you mean "commit failover options"?
I don't want to create a replica, just move my VMs...

I refer to this option > Permanent Failover. In this case you will be able to schedule virtual disk migration process, otherwise you can use quick migration capability.
