Multiple Copy Jobs for Same VMs

We have a customer that wants two copy jobs for their two VMs. One is coming offsite to our cloud repository, the other will stay onsite to one of their repositories. The backup job runs at 8pm each night, and the offsite copy job sync interval is 1 and 12am. The second copy job that stays onsite, is set to 1 and 545am. The second job doesn't seem to pick up and new restore points, it just continues to have the status of waiting for new restore points. Is the first copy job affecting the restore points so the second isn't seeing them as new? Seems like that wouldn't matter as they are two independent jobs. Thanks.

The restore points are not affected by the backup copy job. I recommend contact support to verify your jobs configuration.

For others that may have this issue, it's a bug. Currently an onsite copy job cannot use the same local repository as the backup job. It will not see any restore point as new, so I had to create a new folder, add as new repo, and point the copy job there. Works fine after making that quick change. Thanks.

Hi lennis, it is not a bug, but rather the requirement of backup copy job for having at least two independent copies of backups (copies within the same or replicated storage do not count for separate). Thanks for updating the topic.

We also have a copy job going offsite for the same backup job, but the customer requested a local copy job as well in order to have onsite GFS restore points. They would rather have those local for quicker restore options, and still have the safety of offsite restore points too.

Yes, having another copy in the offsite location is definitely a good move.
