On my site I have 3 esx hosts with about 45 vm.
In my branch office I have 2 hosts with about 7 vms.
For my branch office I have 2 storage devices for the backup. One at each site.
The 2 sites are vpn site to site connected.
At this point I would like to implement veeam for my branch office.
what would you suggest as optimal topology having in mind next year we might want to implement veeam in our main site?
Thank you,

Re: Need advice for new implementation
Hello Said,
You can deploy the server on one of VMs and use another one as a backup proxy. The best practice is to keep 2 copies of vms backups, one on the production site, another on the DR site. You can use backup copy job for that.
Do you have any backup repositories on the production site or in DR(branch) only?
Are you going to use both backup and replication for the VMs protection?
Thanks!

In this case you may consider having a VBR server on the DR site.
You can also leverage replication from backup opportunity.
Thanks!
