Netapp Clustered OnTap 8.3 SnapVault Integration
Dear community,
i'm trying the Netapp integration with Veeam and Netapp Clustered OnTap 8.3 right now.
Netapp snapshot backup as well as Netapp snapvault to secondary is working very good.
I can also see the snapshots on booth sites in the Veeam console.
The problem is, that i cannot see or restore vms from the snapvault destination.
If i try to do a rescan, i'm getting the error:
"Failed to obtain list of VMs on LUN <volume> from snapshot <snapname> of volume...."
I saw that a vol clone is created during the scan and within that vol clone the required snapshots are not present.
Thats the reason why getting the error.
Any ideas how to fix that?
For the moment i cannot find any support matrix to see if 8.3 is already supportet.

Hi Stefan,
Release Notes of V8 Patch 1 says that Ontap 8.3 is supported.
If snapvault was tested with Ontap 8.3 I doesn't know.
Do you have created an case?

I'm using v8 Patch 1, so latest release.
No, i didn't opened a case yet.

Opening a case with technical support is recommended as storage rescan logs review is required here.

This behavior was reported as a bug, that is scheduled to be fixed in the next updates.

Veeam is offering some customers Patch #2 which fixes the issue of VM Count on the SnapVault NetApp. However, I am still unable to perform a restore from the SnapVault location. It is under investigation as we speak. Case Number 00876274.

Do you mean you've applied the update but the issue still persists?
