New (?) error

Post by Bjorn » May 18, 2017 7:42 am

Hi!

After uppgrading our vCenter to 6.5 appliance we have started to get a new error:

Error: Obtained recommendations for disk placement do not match the source VM disks count.

It started with one vm but now, after 5 days, about 20 of 400 replications fails with this error,
One VM is indeed a bit odd

Hard disk 1 1536 guest_1.vmdk
Hard disk 2 100 guest.vmdk
Hard disk 1 100 guest_replica-000001.vmdk
Hard disk 2 1536 guest_replica_9-000001.vmdk

but I don't see anything particular on the other VMs.

Seems like not even google has seen this before...

Has any of you seen this or anything similar?

BR,
Björn

Seems like this was caused by sDRS going wild on the replica storage; now that the dust has settled there, the errors have disappeared.
