Post by manitowoc »

Hi all,

I have a problem with oracle archive log files.
I run a sap environment on suse entreprise 11 with Oracle 12.1
Archive logs are enable on oracle and Veeam can create backups.
But after backup, archive log files are stil present while i had specified to keep logs only 24 hours.

Do you have any idea to solve my problem?

Thanks.

Hi,

Did the job finish without warning or errors? If so, and the archive log file meets the specified condition, then please open a case with support team and post your case ID as the described behaviour is unexpected.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
The job finish with a warning "Unable to perform application-aware processing of Oracle database (SID: XXX) : Oracle database instance state is not valid for property collection"
I already checked /etc/oraInst.loc and then $ORA_INV/Contents_XML/inventory.xml, and also did a relink and lsinventory but the problem persists.

Thank you.

Regards.

Then that is probably the reason why the job has not deleted the archive log. Please contact our support team regarding that and post your case ID.

Thank you.
