Hi,
this is a request for best practice. We have a couple of Oracle (-linux) servers running as vms in a small ha-environment: 3 ESX-hosts and a SAN, vSphere 6.5.
Using Veeam B&R Enterprise 9.5 4a we backup the oracle servers with direct san access to a backup server (Windows Veeam Server with local attached storage as repository) also connected to that san. Production network (Oracle-Servers) is separated from management network (backup-server). That leads to the fact, that archive log shipping is done via VMware VIX-protocol, which is very slow. What is best practice to have fast log shipping?
Thanks in advance!
Jürgen

Re: Oracle Log Shipping with separated networks
There is a log shipping server option that can be used to communicate with the VMs. You can implement it in a DMZ like approach.
