Hi,
Considering below scenario I need to know am I missing something?
- We have oracle DB on linux VM (VMware).
- Enabled Application-aware image processing in backup job.
- Backup completed without error.
While restoring it displays heuristic analysis wizard and according to Veeam "If a backup file you are exploring was created without application-aware image processing, the heuristic analysis must be performed"
Now I don't understand this, If my backups are completed with AAIP, why do I get "Heuristic analysis wizard" prompt?

Re: Oralce DB - Application-aware image processing on linux VM
Isn't that just a question to help in a case where AAIP wasn't enabled? Perhaps the restore process isn't capable of verifying whether or not the backup was AAIP or not... but the question has to be asked at that point before the backup file is mounted.

I am sorry but I did not understand what you are trying to say.

Hi Parth, the fact that heuristic analysis is started, means that there were AAIP issues during backup. You can check the session log of the corresponding job run for warnings.
