Orphan HDs on Proxy after problem

Hi, After a problem with a replica datastore filling up, one of my proxies has 8 'orphaned' HDs which were the HotAdd HDs pointing at [Datastore] VM_replica/disknumber.vmdk
Can I safely use VCentre to 'remove from VM' to remove them from the Proxy. Or is there a way to clear them using the VB&R console in some way?
