I use Veeam Backup & Replication version 7.0.0.690. The Installation is done 3 months ago. In this time (after installation) I have changed the Windows password.
Yesterday I try to install the patch 4 but the installation has been failed. Some veeam services could not be started. The reason was an incorrect password.
A deinstallation of the Veeam software has failed with the same reason.
I have solved the problem as follows:
1. I restored the old Windows password
2. I made a uninstall of Veeam Backup & Replication
3. I updated the Windows password
4. I installed the version 7.0.0.690
5. I installed the patch 4

Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. However I wonder why haven't you just changed the password so the services could start, to avoid uninstallation/installation cycle?

Without the first password change the uninstall was not possible.
I was not sure if the installation of patch 4 was clean.
Safety first => uninstall / install the Veeam software

I meant updating the password in the services properties, so they could run under the new password.
