Physical machines managed by Veeam Agent show up in Enterpise manager
Hello guys,
I was making some changes to Backup Enterprise Manager, more specific adding new roles for BU operators only allowing them access to specific servers after starting with a new database (https://www.veeam.com/kb1109)
The goal is to only allow a few servers to be managed by the backup operators. The 'problem' is that the physical servers managed by Veeam agent for Windows & Linux also show up in the overview in Backup enterprise manager. Just to be clear, BU operators are not able to restore anything from the physical servers but I don't think this is normal behavior, or is it?

Re: Physical machines managed by Veeam Agent show up in Enterpise manager
Hello System32.
Physical hosts are included in the scope of managed machines only when you select 'All virtual machines' to be a scope for the user. If you go to selected virtual machines you can pick the desired scope of VMs. Does that work in your case? Thanks!

Re: Physical machines managed by Veeam Agent show up in Enterpise manager
Dima,
I didn't select 'all virtual machines'.
My settings:
Account type: Group
Account: Active Directory GroupName
Role: Restore operator
restore scope: Selected virtual machines only
Allow restore of: Guest files
The physical machines are not between allowed machines.

I've asked QA team to double check the described behavior, but meanwhile please submit a support case to our support team as we would need the debug logs for the confirmation. Please do not forget to share the case ID in this thread. Thanks!
