Possible issues with migrated Hosts (from Hyper-V)
Hello,
if Hyper-V hosts aren`t migrated properly from Hyper-V to VMware vSphere, meaning the vss-Hyper-V provider is still present on the host, would this cause
corrupt unusable backups even if the report shows successful backups? We have an exchange server, a domain controller and SQL-databases.

Do you mean the VMs have been converted and migrated from Hyper-V to vSphere environment?

I worked with a customer that had migrated VMs from Hyper-V to VMware, and we found we could do crash-consistent backups but we weren't able to do Application-aware Image Processing. This wound up because of the old VSS providers from Hyper-V still present in the VMs causing AAIP to fail. After that was cleaned up, AAIP worked properly.
