Hi,
We are going to run in the future a progress database in vmware. To make a snapshot of this machine I have to execute a proquit command so that the database stops is IO so veeam can make the snapshot. Is that possible in veeam?

The guest is RED HAT 5. where do you set that option for pre-processing?

Re: Pre and post processing script
John, you should use VMware pre-freeze/post-thaw scripts to quiesce your application before the snapshot is taken, and resume immediately after. Please refer to the following whitepaper written by one of our system engineers for more details: Hot backup of MySQL on a Linux VM. You can also search this forum for script examples for other applications directly from existing Veeam customers. Thanks.
