Hello,
under "Application-Aware Processing Options", entering a server's edit, I would like to be able to pass parameters for the execution of the "Pre-freeze" and "Post-thaw" Linux scripts.
I tried to insert the parameter immediately after the path\batch.sh but it doesn't work.
I've tried searching but can't find anywhere how to pass a parameter.
it's possible to use parameters? how?
thanks in advance.
Regards

Re: PreFreeze and PostThaw linux scripts parameters
Hi Gianluca,
There is no option to pass parameters, you can just specify a path to a script. Let's consider your question as a feature request.
Why you cannot implement the desired behavior within the script itself instead of calling it with parameters? The first idea of a workaround which comes to me is to use a chain of scripts: specify a script from which you call another script with the necessary parameters. However, this is something that I never tested, thus I cannot guarantee the reliability of such an approach.
Thanks!

Re: PreFreeze and PostThaw linux scripts parameters
Thanks for the reply.
For the moment we've done this. A script that call another script.
Clearly the passing of parameters was more elegant, because then clearly if the second script goes wrong then the error must also be passed to the first one. However it works
Thanks again. Hope in the future

Hi Gianluca,
Absolutely agree that it would be more elegant, the request is noted but ETA is yet to be determined.
Thanks!
