Hi,
when we quick-migrate running vms in our vSphere cluster the specified permissions at vm level are lost.
Is it possible to preserve these permissions because right know I have to check them after each quick migration.
Thanks in advance,
Hendrik

Re: Preserve vSphere permissions when quick-migrating vms
Hi,
Do you use VMware vSphere vMotion during quick-migration or failover to Veeam quick-migration?
Thanks

Re: Preserve vSphere permissions when quick-migrating vms
If quick-migration is used without vMotion, then VM's morefID will be changed, therefore any permissions will be lost. You might want to migrate VMs to a predefined resource pool (or folder) that has required permissions configured with an option "Propagate to Child Objects", so migrated VMs will inherit permissions from their parent container.
Thanks
