Private network

How easy is it to setup a private network with network cards in Vmware servers with a dedicated switch so that all backup and replication traffic is isolated between Vmware hosts and the Veeam server? Is there documentation on how to do this? This would be in a scenario where everything is local, no remote sites.

Consider using preferred networks functionality to ensure the traffic goes over the required network. There're also some other existing threads regarding this, here's just the one of them.
