Proxy and repository not joined to domain
My question is if you can have the Proxy Server and Repository components joined to Veeam but not domain joined.

Re: Proxy and repository not joined to domain
Hi
That is possible and supported. You won't have any issues or limitations.
It's recommended to have at least the backup repo not in the same domain as your protection domain.
This makes it harder for an attacker to delete the backup files.

Re: Proxy and repository not joined to domain
Hello,
All my news installation are done as workgroup for all components. Veeam server, proxy, repository (they are hardened linux repisutory now...)
It's working perfectly but it needs some more work than domain join (windows firewall)
The recommended setup is to have a dedicated forest for it but it adds more complexity on AD if it's not already in use...
