Hello everyone, I have this question to ask you, I have two proxies in a vmware virtual environment installed on windows server 2012 std operating system.
Now I reinstall the veeam server backup on a physical server that has the windows server 2019 std operating system.
My question is: can the proxies have the windows operating system version different from that of the backup veeam server?
thank !

Re: proxy operating system version
Hi Massimiliano.
No, the operating system can be different. You may even have a VBR server on top of a Windows server and a backup proxy on top of a Linux server. For details on system requirements and limitations, please refer here. You may also want to check the BP portal for additional information.
Thanks
