QNAP SMB Share - Veeam B&R Backup jobs fails 03642562

Hi Veeam Forum,

Can I have guidance on using a backup repository. I added a SMB Share from may QNAP NAS, have setup correct credentials and it was already added on Veeam but when I try a vm backup job the below is encountered. Note that the share is fresh and no other files where there except when I run the job which it will create the folder and the .vbm.

Processing VM01 Error: The parameter is incorrect. Failed to create NetUse connection to share '\\192.168.97.12\Veeam Backup' Failed to process [isFileExists]. 0:00:08

Also, do you have the NetUseShareAccess registry key applied?

did you get a solution to this? I have this exact issue, excepts it's a Synology NAS not a QNAP.

Hi Tim, the OP's case was resolved after he changed the username from just 'account' to 'IP\account' format. If that is not applicable in your case, I recommend you contact our support directly for investigation. Thanks!

This fixed the same issues when connecting to a synology.
