Quick Migration - Backup and Replication settings question

Post by kpin »

I have moved 3 VM's from one HOST and Datastore to another using Quick Migration. Worked great btw... Now I need to reconfigure my Backups and Replications. Is there anyway to continue on the same change but redirect where the source and destinations are at? Or do I just need to add the new(migrated vm) to the backup and replications sets?

Do you have any vCenter Server added to the backup console or you have only standalone hosts?

If you have vCenter Server then your backup jobs should pick up these changes and continue running as they were. Migrating VMs within the same vCenter Server infrastructure does not change VM moref IDs, so you don't need to re-add these VMs to the existing jobs.
