Hi
I've noticed that Quick Migration (nbd) doesn't transfer multiple hard disks the same time, where as a Restore (nbd) does.
Is there a reason for this or can I enable it somewhere?
Thanks

Re: Quick Migration transfer multiple hard disks in parallel ?
Hi Mark,
Do you see in the job statistics which migration mode is used? The different migration modes are described on this page.
I wouldn't expect that disks are processed in parallel if the job worked in vMotion mode, we rely on the native VMware mechanisms whenever possible. However, when Veeam migration is used the only limiting factor is the number of available task slots on a proxy server.
Thanks!

Re: Quick Migration transfer multiple hard disks in parallel ?
Hello,
@lando_uk
We checked the behavior in our lab and we can see that only one disk can be processed in parallel in both SmartSwitch and ColdMigration modes. The behavior you're seeing now is by design but we can consider your question as a request for improvement in one of our next versions. As usual, no ETA can be provided.
Thanks!

Re: Quick Migration transfer multiple hard disks in parallel ?
ok thanks for checking. We're on the backend of migrating lots of VMs, so it's too late for me, but maybe useful for others in the future.
