Hello
I have read the documentation but I didn't understand what I have to configure to quiesce the Windows file system.
As an example I have a file server only; so no SQL or Oracle
If I select "Enable application Aware processing" should be useless because there are no SQL servers
So to quiesce the file system I should "Enable VMware tools quiescence"?
Is this correct?
Thank you

Re: Quiesce Microsoft File system
Hello,
just to be sure... are you asking for VMware or Hyper-V? You posted in the Hyper-V forum, but ask for VMware tools quiescence.
In general: if you want to quiesce the file system then the recommended option from Veeam side is "Enable application Aware processing". We trigger VSS then. Oracle, Exchange, SQL are irrelevant. It works with any Windows. Just leave the log shipping settings default and it just works.
Best regards,
Hannes
