Ququestion regarding adhoc backup special retention

I am new to this tool so please forgive my ignorance here. I have one query regarding retention for adhoc backup.
how can we set retention of one year for any adhoc backup request in veeam?

followup question, what if i need to increase retention any old backup of a specific date (say in middle of a restore points)
one way way I think of is running copy job for that restore point to tape .. correct?
to retain same on the disk...how?

Once set, retention cannot be modified.

You manually copy resulting backup to separate location and remove it, when proper time comes. Thanks!
