Recover from Phyical to VM ESXI
After the migration is done to production, the restore session is still in progress. The detail is waiting for user migration.
Do I cancel the session?

Hi Tom
You have to finalize the recovery. Currently the machine is running from the backup file. You need to move the entire vm to your production storage.
Please have a look at our guide. It explains what you have todo:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... 10#migrate
Thanks
Fabian

Re: Recover from Phyical to VM ESXI
Hi Midur,
Thanks. The problem is I did finalize the recovery, and Migrate to production is done. But the restore session is still in progress. The detail is waiting for user migration.
Do I stop the session?
Thanks
Tom

Re: Recover from Phyical to VM ESXI
Have you tried to update the view with F5? It could be that the session is already ended successfully, but the console wasn’t updated.
If it‘s still running with the same message after using F5, please get our support team involved.
Without having access to the environment we cannot say in which state the session is currently running. Cancelling the session could lead to deleting the migrated vm.
Thanks
Fabian

One thing to add, migrating to production took 13 hours. Does it is means the restore session will take longer to complete?
Waited 4 hours at the moment.

After using F5, you can check for the session in last 24 hours or in history in the console.
You should see the session if it‘s still running.
Can you upload a picture of the migration session details?

Hello,
I Had lot of problem with instant vm recovery and the migrate to production
You do the action but veeam didn t seen it s done.
When you do stop publishing veeam says you migration is already done...
I used it to perform migration from hyper-v vm to vmware and I had this issue for arround 30% of the vm

Any chance you got support ticket numbers for these issues so we can verify the behavior internally? Thanks.
