reduce time of license hold enhancement request

We allow self vm provisioning and so vm's come and go. If they get included into a VBR, because they are part of a data store, as our jobs are set up, and then they decommission, the license is held by the VBR, for 30 days. I've asked our local support but I wanted to post it here to make it public, I'd like to either be able to change that number, on the fly, or make it 5 days, after a vm disappears. How do I request that, to free up licenses?

Hi Becki, I'm not sure if there's a way to change that but let me check. I also thought of scripting license revocation but this seems not to be allowed as well.

it's set to 30 days so something is setting that number. thanks for what you can do.

It's a hardcoded value which cannot be changed. So manual revocation seems to be the way to go.

However, VUL license allows you to exceed license limit by 10 instances or 10% for the whole license duration - does it not cover your temporary needs?
